Sof didn’t have any passion for her Halloween costume this year, so I started perusing the options and realized that Pottery Barn Kids only makes costumes up to a size 8, which means this is the last year it would even be an option! I get a little crazy about this kinda stuff, so suddenly I HAD to have a costume from there. She picked the giraffe and it did not disappoint!
The girls had a big Halloween party at cheer. They dressed up and went trunk-or-treating.
It was open to the public, so the cousins joined us!
For some reason the bees were awful that day! They were everywhere! Lexi’s friend Jenna was also dressed as a giraffe so I tried getting a picture. It was hard to snap one between ducking from the bees!
We carved pumpkins with the cousins. It was actually one of our more enjoyable carvings. The weather was perfect for doing it outside, everyone is pretty independent, and no one melted down that theirs didn’t turn out exactly the way they wanted!
Sof had a parade and party at school. They can’t wear their costumes on the bus, but we managed to wear most of it so changing would be easy!
Sof thought her teacher’s costume was the funniest!
We’ve had the absolute worst weather for Halloween the last 2 years. We were due for a beautiful day! It wasn’t perfect, but it was dry and warm so no complaints!
Sof chose to wear her unicorn onesie, because comfort, duh. My heart died a little, but I persevered. After all, it gets dark quick and who would know anyway??
The best part is going back to the house and sorting the stash!
Lexi hung out with some cheer friends, and I honestly don’t remember if they trick or treated or not. I know I have not one picture of her from that night though! However, she did have a Halloween party with her cheer team that is documented!
Apparently Halloween is big on the college campus. Adrienne(who historically is not in to Halloween) started planning her costumes early and was very ready!
I’m sure there was a Barbie costume as well, but I don’t seem to have a pic of it.
Halloween post moral: I have older kids but their lives are only marginally documented. Children that fit in Pottery Barn Kids costumes will always be featured here.
