This is the March post. March is the month that just ended. That means I’m technically caught up. Bam.
We had a day off of school that I had to work, so Sof got a Tutor Time day. We love to see her old teachers, and they love to see her.
Daylight savings made it hard to get up in the morning. We had to multitask at times.
We made it to school though.
Primetime mornings.
And bus mornings.
We started the month with snow still covering the ground, but to our delight, we had a turn in the weather!
Sof had pajama day at her school! Lexi had one earlier in the week, so Sof was over the moon that she got to do it too!
I still go to class once a week to volunteer. I love getting to know her friends and seeing her learn.
There was a book fair at Sof’s school, and she saw these pointers early in the week. She talked about them everyday. It took us till Thursday, but we finally got there to get one. It’s her most prized possession right now.
Adrienne had a school photography project she had to do and she wanted to use Sof as the model. She bribed her by making her look like Elsa.
The warmer weather encouraged Lexi and I to try a new frozen yogurt place.
Sof picked her outfit this particular morning, and asked me to put in a side pony tail, and announced she had a loose tooth. Hold me Jesus, I’m not ready.
She’s been pretending she has a loose tooth forever, but it’s the real deal now. It even falls ever so slightly forward. Update…as of now it still has not fallen out, although the new tooth is growing in behind it.
We celebrated Ellen’s birthday. Always so fun to be with them, but never often enough.
We had our last cheerleading competition the same weekend Adrienne had a dance convention. They were both an hour away from our home, but the locations were only 5 minutes apart! Made it easy to bounce between the two!
Lexi made this amazing pie for Pi day(3.14) to bring to her math class. Luckily we made her make two so we could have some too!
After making the pie she realized we don’t have a sifter. So, it was at the top of her list for her bday! Once she got it she couldn’t wait to use it! She pulled out an old frosting recipe to try.
We had our March bowling night at a fun little dinner theater.
One of our favorite Japanese restaurants closed. I found a Japanese grocery store and we recreated our favorite dish at home. It was perfect and now a staple for meals!
We had mothers and muffins at Sof’s school.
Em and I ran an impromptu 5K. We each had a connection to it, so we decided to do it! Neither of us has been running very much, so we were happy with our 32 min time!
This little girl is one of Emily’s patients, and the proceeds of the run are going to Em’s team for research.
One of my students was walking with her mom in the race too!
Sof had 2 birthdays one weekend. The first was her bestie Allie’s party at the pottery place.
The second party was for the triplets. They went to Turtle Creek Farm. It’s the coolest place and Sof loved it!
Here in MI if you get a new bathing suit and it’s at least 55 degrees, you can try it out;)
That’s it folks. Happy Spring!
