Simple Things

Sometimes life gets so busy you just have to enjoy the simple things. That's where we're at this week. I like the simple things anyway. The ordinary moments that stir exceptional feeling, the normal conversation that ends with you belly laughing, and the get togethers that happen with no pre-housecleaning or meal planning. We had plenty of that this week.
This is Mike. See Mike sleep. Sleep Mike sleep.

This is Mike earlier. Dance Mike dance.

Lexi wanted another roll. Yep, you guessed it. Mark threw it to her. Do all guys think this is hysterically funny?

Biggest cousin and littlest cousin:)

The 3 S's...Starbucks, Sister, and Saturdays. This is one of those simple traditions that just make you feel warm inside. Plus, it's just the right setting for Sof to practice her self control(and iPad skills!).
Sometimes it goes really well,

and sometimes it's more of a challenge.

Either way I love it.

Sof isn't my only mini me in training:)

Speaking of Lexi, she's in fourth grade. The big deal about 4th grade is you get a recorder. Lexi brought her's home the other day and has been practicing day and night. There is jealousy though. Someone else wants to play the recorder all the time too. Daddy. He can't resist. Maybe he was deprived of this experience as a kid. Did his parents make him use the school one instead of buying him his very own? Was he deficient in his recorder skills leaving him scarred? What is this recorder envy that causes the need to grab it and play the snake charmer? First time...very funny. 132nd time...he's the only one laughing. Doo do doo doo doo...

Sof loves feeding the frogs. She tries to help me count the pellets out and puts them in one by one.

She also loves the halloween decorations.

The big girls introduced her to leaf piles. She loves those too!

Hope your week is full of simple pleasures and you take the time to notice them.
