Wow, May was a really long time ago. We’ve been busy, but I’ve certainly had time to blog. When I get so far behind, it’s hard for me to get motivated to tackle it. I can’t put it off any longer though, so watch out, there’s likely to be a flurry of posts coming fast!
First up is one of my favorite times of the year…recital. The rehearsals are a job to get to. They involve lots of preplanning, coming from school and work, and eating on the fly.
It all pays off come show time though! It’s just a joy to watch my girls on stage showing off what they’ve learned all year. This was a particularly fun year with Sof and Kaitlyn being in the same class.
A little pre-show craziness.
The only show that all the girls were in was the ballet show. Sof loved her costume!
Adrienne with her carpool buddies.
The last show was the one the family came to. Grandma Jackie is 90, but that doesn’t stop her from coming to the shows!
After the show we assembled at Em’s for food and hang out time. Always a good excuse to gather with everyone!
Adrienne had a school project she shared with Grandma Jackie.
It’s always bittersweet when recital comes to an end. I never tire of watching the girls dance, but it’s nice to be done with the hustle and bustle.
