I can’t resist my girl with her blanky.
We were lucky to get another snow day. We did a little shopping.
Sof was devastated about the snow day because it was supposed to be her Jump Rope for Heart. They rescheduled it for the next day, and I was able to be there with her!
Mornings…
It’s getting harder and harder to coordinate schedules and celebrate everyone's special day, but we always seem to find time for dessert! My beautiful Livy Love is 11 years old!!!
Is my love that painful Adrienne?
Emily and I were really struggling with what to buy Lexi and Livy for their birthdays. We decided to give them a shared experience. Lucky for us Matilda was coming to Detroit! We bought tickets for each of them and had a night out with the four of us.
Of course we started with dinner out!
It was a super cute show! We all loved it!
Sof had a field trip to “The Scrap Box” with her Daisy troop. It’s a kid’s dream. It’s a collection of “junk” that they kids can tape, glue, cut, and create with. They learned a little about recycling and then got to make something. As a sick joke bonus for parents they got to fill a whole bag with stuff to take home! Oh the joy.
The weather warmed up quite nicely toward the middle of the month. We got plenty of use out of Sof’s spring wardrobe.
Trying out their “sit upons” they made at Daisy’s.
Always wanting to be like her big sisters doing homework!
I absolutely love these overalls on Sof. To say she hates them is an understatement. I don’t care, mommy wins this one.
One of Lexi’s Christmas gifts was a subscription to Foodstirs. They send a box once a month filled with directions and ingredients for a baking project. We look forward to seeing what each month’s theme will be, and it’s exposing Lexi to some healthier baking options(like using greek yogurt).
We celebrated Sof’s 5th Gotcha Day. I say it every year, I never feel less amazed at the way in which she came to us. She was never meant to be anywhere but with us.
I could go on and on about Gotcha Day(because ALL THE FEELINGS), but even Hallmark would be annoyed at the gush so I’ll just leave it right there.
We try to keep Gotcha Day celebration simple, but it’s hard! This year we brought treats to cheer practice, I came to her classroom and read, and we celebrated with the cousins the day after!
Early morning cheer!
Still a breakfast lover.
Lexi painted Sof’s nails and Sof chose a music note to show Mrs. Bean her music teacher the next day!
Lexi will make such a great mama someday. She has patience and willingness. She colored Easter Eggs with Sof, and I wasn’t a bit sad to take that off my to do list!
Sof had bring a friend day at cheer and she brought Allie. They were a little fired up afterwards!
Gotta stop at Tropical Smoothie when you’re running errands!
When trying on clothes for our up coming vacation, it was obvious Sof is ready to graduate to some bigger styles. In with Justice and out with Gymboree! Well, not totally, but I love her sass when she feels good about herself.
This dress ended up getting returned!
Long legs…
We ended the month with Moms and Muffins at Sof’s school. I’m always so thankful when my part time schedule and close proximity to work allow me to be present for these little moments.
