We did a long weekend in Grand Haven this year. We wish we could do more, but we’re happy to find a even a few days to go. We managed to do all of our favorite things, and we brought the boat.
We got a couple good beach days. For as much as I hate the sand and sunscreen, it’s always worth it!
We took plenty of trips downtown, mostly for candy or ice cream! But we all like to peruse the shops!
Natty was mesmerized by the T-shirt screen printing. She could’ve watched it all day!
We go to great Harvest EVERY morning. Yes, it’s excessive, we don’t care.
We had a ladies night out. Izabella is a bona fide grown up. Legal and everything. So fun to have her join us. Adrienne popped in to eat with us, but left before the nighttime crowd came!
We knew we were supposed to get some rain, so I looked on the radar to see if our walk home would be wet. Someone was looking out for us here!
We took the boat out one afternoon for a ride. The big lake was really wavy. Natalie was literally terrified. We turned around after about 10 minutes and headed back down the channel to Spring Lake. It took a little bit to get over it, but once Uncle Mark let her drive she was fine!
Kaitlyn ended up burnt on one side of her face. #worldsokayistmomsagain
We got together with Klimeks for dinner and bday cake for Mark, Emme and me. Ryan and Grace brought their Jinga game, and everyone had a lot of fun with it.
Mark brought the fishing poles, and all the kids were so excited to go fishing! God bless him, I swear every 2 seconds someone’s line was stuck. Lexi caught one fish, but the others only caught weeds!
Grandma Jackie was able to come out for a day. We’re always so happy when she can do it! Still plugging along at 93.
For our last night there we decided to take the kids out on the boat to watch the musical fountain.
It put a new spin on an old activity.
Great end to another great jaunt in Grand Haven!
