Re-entry was hard. Rainy Monday mornings don’t help.
Luckily Monday’s mean cheer for Sof and Starbucks for Lexi and I!
Covert had a birthday while we were gone in Florida, so we grabbed some cupcakes and went for visit when we got home. Sof spent most the time in the hallway playing on her iPad. I would later learn she was actually making Musically videos to “Bitch Better Have My Money”. This led to an extensive discussion on appropriate internet use and the banning of Musically. This also led to the greatest (albeit inappropriate) videos ever. We have laughed hysterically(behind her back) and cannot wait to use them in her senior slideshow. We are winning at parenting.
Adrienne presented on Sri Lanka and Grace Care Orphanage to the school board as part of her Social Justice work. I couldn’t have been more proud, and the compliments were endless!
One of the school board members has a son that danced with Adrienne, so we’ve known her for many years. She sent this to Adrienne after her presentation.
This was probably the day we started almost missing the bus. It became a regular thing.
After complaining about Friday cheer practices all year, we were kinda sad to see them go. It took us awhile, but we finally figured out that if we went up to the local bar together during practice, we didn’t mind at all!
Our last cheer competition was on a beautiful day, so we brought chairs, blankets, and lunches and set up camp!
Lexi’s team qualified for nationals!! Not ideal since they were only 3 weeks away and held in Virginia Beach, but we all agreed that they earned it and we would make it happen for them!
Allie had a belated birthday party. Perfect small, informal night of playing outside, pizza, and a movie!
Adrienne took a trip to Chicago to visit her friend Allison and see a Rhianna Concert. Sof thought it was super cool to pick Sissy up at the train station!
I don’t have any pictures with Allison, but there’s some cute ones of Adrienne and her friend Taylor who went with her!
Always a treat to have daddy take her to the bus stop.
Spring Picture day!
Sof’s school staff played in a charity volleyball game against another school. They didn’t win, but it wasn’t for lack of effort!
Sof adores her teacher!
Sof’s class earned a “bring a stuffed animal to school” day. Ice Cube was her choice!
Ice Cube got a lot of love this month!
Lexi and Sof had their end of season cheer banquet. The theme was masquerade, which I was initially disappointed with, but it turned out so cute!
Mark and I decided to take all these raggedy kids to see “Jungle Book” one night. Not gonna lie, it was terrifying for the 3 smallest.
Allison and Abbeigh stayed all day one day to see Adrienne dance at competition! That’s dedication!
Some days are diamonds…
Some days are stones…
I didn’t have either Kaitlyn or Natalie’s birthday gift on the days we celebrated. Mostly because I was super anal about what I wanted! Natalie got a Yumbox and a smoothie holder for her kindergarten lunches next year, and Kaitlyn got a pair of tennis shoes that I searched the ends of the earth for. In the end everyone was super happy, even me!
One of the neighborhood boys, Blake, moved away. All the ladies will miss him!
Mom and Dad came into town to help Steve with the kids while Em was out of the town one weekend. We had to make a stop at Fiesta Fajitas! From the looks of the table we enjoyed!
My cutie ready for a birthday party!
Adrienne had her friends over before attending a dance. These girls are all so pretty! What the heck???
Phew, busy month!
