Ballet Boot Camp

Adrienne flew out to Las Vegas this afternoon for a Ballet Intensive. It's 5 days of ballet training with a professional. The kids from our studio that have gone before have shown amazing improvement from this week intensive. We have high hopes for Adrienne that she will gain confidence and skill. She was excited, but a little nervous. Usually only our elite dancers go to this, but this year a few younger ones are going. I really talked it up and was really positive, but she's a smart girl, when you pack Alleve, blister band aids, cold packs, and a heating pad, it's a good sign this isn't going to be a walk in the park! What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!

Mr. Mark is the studio owner's hubby. He chaperoned the flight out because some of the kids and teachers are already there. I just spoke with the owner/director and she said she's on the way to the airport to get them. She's already anticipating some nerves from the less experienced dancers and ready to provide a little TLC. Adrienne is having a private lesson with the teacher on the first day wich is awesome. That way she can get to know Adrienne and evaluate her right away. Should help with the nerves too! I'm going to have a glass of wine for my nerves...
